Meet Our Team
Our team consists of certified teachers. Each teacher is required to have an extensive 30-hour training period over several months before working with a student individually.
Heather received her B.S. from Georgia Southern University in Early Childhood Education and, in 2000, earned her Master's Degree in Instructional Effectiveness from Trevecca Nazarene University. She has been teaching for almost 20 years in kindergarten to third grade. Heather currently teaches first grade. She has been a part of our team for 14 years.
Cindy is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Martin, receiving her B.S. in Elementary Education. Her additional training includes the Lindamood-Bell Learning Processing Programs, Wilson Language Training, and continued training in executive function and related programs to help students. Cindy has been the director of the Dyslexia Center for 18 years. After purchasing the Dyslexia Centers of Tennessee in the summer of 2014, she continues to direct, train, and work to develop a center with new opportunities to meet students' needs.
Fran has her Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University. She taught first through third grade for 45 years. Retired from teaching, she has been a part of our team for 12 years.
Elizabeth received her Elementary Education Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She taught pre-school through second grade for several years and currently teaches in the Special Education department of a local school. Elizabeth has been on our team for 10 years.
Whitney received her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Reading Endorsement from Mercer University. She has taught pre-kindergarten and first grade for several years. Currently she teaches first grade. She has been on our team for over a year.
